My online store:

What are you most proud of?

I was just so caught off guard when a Turkish co-worker (after a long presentation on "bad investments") asked me that question. So I asked him, what do you mean? Here at work? Or life in general? He just told me to take the question as it is.

I think I gave him a totally lame answer.. and now that I am free from the pressure of his deep set, wisdom-filled eyes (yep he's an old wise man, worthy of an Albus Dumbledore role!) I am set to dig into my "storage" of life events and select a particular thing I've done that I am most proud of.

And, while I am at it... I'd also like to throw that question to you who are reading this... WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?

Career: The Raket Scientist

As I wait here (on a cold stone bench taking advantage of free WiFi access) for a "client" - I reflect on "what 'll be" for the next few months.

Getting "freeze-hired" (whattaterm) thrusted me into the world of freelancing, or what my consultant buddies call "being a raket scientist" .. Puts the fun back to the concept of "not having a stable job" ! Hahaha. Ah, but it totally depends on one's outlook.

I'm still taking baby steps -- I am totally freaked out of not having spending power every 15th and 30th , but loving the thought that "nobody owns me" :-)

I have classified my existing rakets to 3 categories:

1. Raket for the Pocket (R4P) - a raket that's not really fun but pays the bills! My energy job goes here.
2. Raket for the Heart (R4H) - a raket that doesn't really pay well (pa-lugi) , but I'll do it anyway because it's fun and it's for a good cause. PSR --- personal social responsibility ...
3. Raket for Fun (R4F) - hobby, personal development -- that has the potential to become an R4P hehehe. Human Nature and GFI go here.

So,,, keep those rakets coming :-)

Christmas Goals (To Do/ Wishlist..)

If I Were a Boy...

Nope this is not about Beyonce's song :-)

Anyway, if I were a boy ... I would have been a UP Beta Sigma "dorb" . My dad is a loyal Beta Sigman through and through .. "8 years ang itinagal sa UP Diliman at napudpod ang pantalon sa tambayan" Bata pa lang ako alam ko na ang signature sipol (wittitiw, wittitiw!) , alam ko na ang handshake, at kilala ko na si Malmon. Hinahanap ko na din ang kanilang signature marking sa certain body part ;-)

The frat has really been part of the family , that my mom jokingly says that it's frat before family. But I believe my dad knows his limitations. Most of his close almuni brod friends are close "titos" and I have had the privilege of going out with them because I always wait for dad when he's out on his gimiks (because I'd like a ride home!!) . They're such a happy bunch.

Well.. I just had to voice out my admiration for this "Brotherhood of Scholars" because my dad is all praises for their latest project. The Alumni sent 2 of their resident (meaning Beta Sigma brods still in school) brod-scholars to the US to meet the brods residing there. I thought it was a great idea, and as they said .. a good incentive for other resident brods to strive for academic excellence. The chosen brods are both candidates for cum laude. Fun :-) This is not a paid advertisment!

Wow.

I wasn't all hyped up at all for Michael Jackson's "This Is It." But discovering a window of free time (after all those deadlines and events and stress) -- I found myself REALLY wanting to see it, so I bugged my barkada parents to come watch the last full show with me today "SIGE NA... KUNDI MAGSISISI LANG TAYO NA HINDI NATIN NAPANUOD!"

I'm not a big MJ Fan. My dad asked me to read reviews and most reviews said that you'll like it only if you are a fan , and non fans would probably find it blah.

Well. Maybe I am a fan. Because I liked it soooo much. I loved it how they were able to make the emotions seem to radiate out of everyone in the cast. I loved the beat, the music, the visuals... grabe. I had my mouth open (as unattractive that may seem...) in awe probably a lot of times, and at some points, even tears in my eyes. I wished I saw it during the first few days because I heard that audiences during those times were really upbeat and danced to the music!

I so miss performing :-)

Didn't matter much if MJ looked so sick and frail... I thing his fragile state added value and feeling to the production.

Sharing with you parts I loved .. "The Way You Make me Feel" ... "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" ... "Billie Jean" and major goosebump moment for "The Earth Song" .. "Smooth Criminal" was fun .. and "Thriller" was super awesome (I really want to learn that! haha pati yung "Beat it" !!) .. the dancers were all spectacular, the makeup really really cool... and also the wardrobe (where applicable).. the blonde guitarist and the male dancers (drool!) . I also really admire the respect that everyone showed in the whole set, including MJ, who seemed so polite, cool and down to earth!

Loved it :-) Naka 2 weeks na ba???
